Heres the rainbow cloud and its loud in the best way. Body is a chunky billowing shape filled with cross-hatched colour bands, magenta cresting at the top, scarlet and orange pooling under it, lime and teal in the middle, cobalt and violet sinking towards the base. Twelve thin vertical drip lines fall straight down underneath, like paint thats melting off the bottom edge.

Style is street-art meets pixel art. The cloud doesnt fade smoothly, instead each colour band has a hatched texture so you can see the stitch direction shifting. Drips are running stitch columns spaced unevenly to look hand-painted, not mechanical. 20 thread changes total. Biggest size pulls 26254 stitches and the smallest is 10078.

I drew this in june last summer for a customer running a small kids apparel line, she wanted something more graphic than the usual rainbow flag. The drips were her idea, she said the cloud felt incomplete without paint running off it. Funny how that one detail flipped the whole vibe. Its been one of the best sellers in her summer drop.

Stitch on dark fabric for the colours to pop. Black tee, navy hoodie, charcoal sweat short, deep teal canvas tote all work. The cloud reads flat on white because theres no outline and the pale magenta gets lost. Skip patterned cloth aswell, the cross-hatch needs solid background to read clearly.

Density is moderate but the colour count makes hooping critical, Run mid cutaway under and dont skip the underlay. Trim every drip line on the back, those long jumps will pucker if you let them stay. Slow the machine down for the colour transitions, fast stitching in tight bands causes registration drift. One color. Done. Email me directly if any size misaligns on your hoop.

What people are using this design for

  • Festival merch and stage capsEmbroider a large 7.5-inch version on the back of a black bucket cap for festival merch or a music tour drop
  • Denim jacket back panelsAdd it to the back panel of a black denim jacket and pair it with white chain stitching for a punk-leaning look

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
