Heres the rainbow with hearts and its got a soft nursery feel from the first stitch. Standard rainbow arch but the colour stack reads pastel, not vivid. Top stripe is a soft blue, then mint green underneath, then lemon yellow, then a sweet coral pink at the bottom. Each stripe carries a slightly darker outline thread of the same colour so the arch reads tidy and the bands dont blur into each other.

Both ends of the arch sit on chunky white clouds. The clouds are filled with a fluffy textured stitch, kinda like little curls of cotton wool, the white catches the eye and grounds the rainbow. Around the rainbow theres a scatter of lil hearts in coral pink, magenta, lemon, teal and mint, em hearts come in 3 sizes, the biggest sit higher and the tiny ones hide near the cloud edges, all randomly placed so it feels organic.

So I get a tonne of messages from baby-shower hosts and nursery shop owners about this design. People keep asking me to digitise pastel rainbow stuff for new mums and gender-neutral baby gifts. The 6 in arch fits a onesie chest, the biggest hoop fits a baby blanket centre. And honestly its the type of design that just makes the gift feel personalised without going too cute.

Run this on cream cotton, soft sage minky or a pale blanket fleece for the cosiest read. Pastel always reads richer on warm-cream backgrounds than on stark white because the soft pinks dont disappear. Last week one mum sent me a pic of the small size sat on the front of a hospital-bag onesie for her newborn. Avoid charcoal or black grounds because the rainbow tones lose pop on deep fields, the pastel rainbow looks dingy and grey on navy.

Densest sections are the cloud fills and the chunky satin stripes, runs about 17k stitches at the biggest size. Colour changes pile up across the rainbow. Tight hoop plus a medium cutaway holds shape. Layer a tearaway under thin cotton or a no-show mesh under stretch so the cloud fluff stitch dosent pucker. professional embroidery software kept the colour transitions smooth. Send a screenshot if a panel slides off centre during stitch.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
