Pastel rainbow unicorn head in side profile, eyes closed in that sweet peaceful look, long curling lashes resting on the cheek, and a big flowing mane curling out behind. The mane runs four pastel layers, soft pink, lavender purple, butter yellow and mint green, all swirled together in lazy fairytale curls that drop down past the chin.

Horn sits up top, spiralled tight, with yellow and orange stripe stitching wrapping around the cone. Face is a soft peach fill with a tiny pink blush dot on the cheek which honestly is the detail that sells the whole design. Theres clean black outline work on the muzzle and ear keeping the face crisp.

I drew this back at easter for a customer who wanted matching unicorn cushions for her daughters fifth birthday. Stitch on white, mint, soft pink or pale lilac cotton. Skip dark fabric, the pastel mane just dies on charcoal or navy backgrounds. Pop a medium-weight cutaway stabiliser behind knit tees, the satin curls in the mane pull abit on stretchy cotton.

9 sizes from 3.5 inch up to 7.5 inch, 9 colour changes, stitch counts run 10k to 31k. Use polyester thread for kids tees so the brightness stays after dryer cycles. Run the colour order as printed: face fill first, then mane layers back to front, horn last so the stripes sit cleanly on top of everything. Youll get the cleanest curls if you slow the machine down on the mane satin.

Pop the 4 inch on a backpack chest pocket, run the 6 inch for nursery cushion centres or birthday tees. If first stitch reads odd send detail and ill help ill convert formats.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Birthday shirts for little girlsStitch the medium size on a white birthday tee, the pastel mane reads dreamy on bright cotton.
  • Toddler dresses and rompersLooks really sweet on a soft pink pinafore front, leave room above the design for the kids name.
  • Baby blankets and crib quiltsCentred on a baby blanket corner this becomes the keepsake everyone fights to gift first.
  • Nursery pillow coversPop on a 12 inch nursery cushion in mint linen, the horn detail reads across the room.
  • Kids backpacks and lunch bagsSmaller size on a backpack chest pocket survives the back-to-school bashing if you use polyester thread.
  • Personalised hooded towelsStitches lovely on a hooded towel for after bath time, just use a softer underlay for terry.
  • Unicorn party gift bagsDrop on a goodie bag flap as the unicorn party favour, kids ask their parents to keep it.
  • Bedroom wall hoop artFrame the medium size in a 8 inch hoop, hang above the toddler bed for that magical bedroom vibe.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
