Cat people find this one pretty fast, I get messages about it almost every week. Eight colours in the file, nine sizes from 3.51 all the way up to 7.50 inches wide, stitch counts running from 19,359 at the smallest up to 46,631 at the largest. my software digitised the fur layers with a density of about 854 per square inch, which is moderate enough that the design sits flat on most fabrics without aggressive stabilising.
The realistic look comes from the stitching direction, Ive digitised each section so the stitches follow actual cat fur growth, meaning the cheek fur fans outward, the forehead fur runs vertically down, and the chin area has short strokes radiating from the nose. Use a good cutaway stabiliser when you hoop it, especially on stretchy jersey or fleece, the multiple directional layers need firm backing or the registration shifts and the fur sections dont line up cleanly. The eye fill is a tight satin area in green or amber, which is the most eye-catching part of the whole design.
Best on white, cream, light grey, or pale charcoal fabric. The cat is almost entirely black so its photographs dramatically on pale backgrounds. Try it on cat-themed tote bags, halloween sweatshirts, cushion covers for the cat owner in your life, or framed wall hoops. Avoid patterned fabric, the detailed fur texture needs a clean background to read properly. The 3.51 inch version is compact enough for a left chest position on a t-shirt without looking heavy.
Great for halloween season items too, this cat reads dark and striking without being cartoonish so it works for adult apparel as well as kids. Stitch on black cotton with white thread if you want a reversed look, I tested that version and it looks really sharp on dark denim or black canvas.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
