This is the single-colour version of the spider, solid black all the way through. One colour stop, zero thread changes mid-hoop. The legs have dense directional stitching that actually looks like hair when its done, not just a flat silhouette. The abdomen fill uses a different stitch angle to the cephalothorax so you can tell the two body sections apart even from a distance, which is a lil detail that took alot of back-and-forth to get right in the software I use.
5 sizes: 2.59 inches up to 7.51 inches wide. Stitch counts run from 5,314 to eleven thousand nine hundred and nineteen, so even the big size isnt gonna bog down a home machine. Density sits at a moderate level, dont need heavy topping on this one. Use cutaway stabiliser on stretch fabrics. Pick tearaway on stable wovens. Stitch the 5.51-inch version onto a black pillow cover and it practically disappears until the light hits it, which is a cool gothic effect Ive seen a bunch of people pull off this autumn. 4 trims total, the jumps between legs are kept short.
I get messages every october from people asking if the hairy leg texture actually looks realistic when its stitched, and the answer is yes if you use a decent 40wt thread and keep your hooping tight. Avoid fluffy fleece on the larger sizes, the pile catches the bobbin thread on those long satin legs.
Ping me if you need a different size and Ill check what I can do.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
