Three colours total and it still looks like a wildlife photograph. Thats what gets people. The bunny face tilts slightly upward, one ear flopped over and resting to the side, long individual whiskers stitched as thin satin lines fanning outward from the muzzle. The eye sits dark and round, detailed at the iris edge so it catches light. No outline, no cartoon fill, just thread on thread building up the fur texture from charcoal shadows to bright white highlights.
my main software digitised the whole design with directional stitching so the fur flows in the actual direction it would on a real rabbit. Cheek fur fans one way, forehead fur fans forward, the ear interior gets short parallel satin columns going inward. Im genuinely proud of how clean the output came out because the density hits 1,308 and at 72,286 stitches at the large end it is a serious file. Every stitch earns its place.
I get messages from pet portrait embroiderers aswell as craft gift sellers about this design. My niece stitched the 7-inch on black velvet and sent me photos and I didnt beleive it was thread at first. Black or dark navy fabric is honestly the way to go here. The white whisker lines and bright highlights jump forward on dark ground in a way that cream or white fabric just cant match.
Use a firm mesh cutaway stabiliser, no exceptions at this density. Hoop your fabric tight and check your bobbin tension before starting because 72k stitches on a long run will punish a loose setup. Go slow on the first few colour sections. Skip jersey or any stretch fabric for this one. Nine sizes from 3.5 scaling to 7.5 inches. Text me if the file needs any adjustment and I will sort it.
