Its a paw print but drawn like an etching rather than a flat icon. Four chunky oval toe pads sit above a big wide central pad, and all around the edges theres short radiating lines suggesting fur sprouting outward. Three sharp claws curve up from the top and the whole thing looks like the dog just pressed its foot down on paper. No colour, no fills. Pure linework in black, and the density is surprisingly low at just over 12k stitches on 7-in jumbo.5-inch size.

The hatching inside the pads is what makes this one different from a basic paw outline. Short directional stitches cross-hatch inside each toe pad to give a rounded, almost three-dimensional feel. On denim especially, those lines sink into the weave in a way thats realy convincing. One colour, one thread, 0 color changes. Probably the simplest swap sequence Ive done in a while. Stitch it in black on almost anything and it works.

Customers use this one on dog memorial pieces a lot. Someone ordered it last month, stitched the 5.5-inch in black on a natural linen pillow alongside their dogs name, and it looked like a piece of actual art. Also seen it on denim jackets, canvas bags, and a bunch of dog-mum tote bags. The sketch style makes it feel personal rather than clip art.

Best fabrics are medium-weight wovens where the linework stays crisp. Denim, canvas, linen, twill. Use a lightweight tearaway underneath, hoop firm, and the fine lines come out clean. Avoid minky or fluffy fleece because the fur-like texture background just swallows all that delicate hatching detail. Pick the 3.5-inch for pocket placement on a denim shirt and the 7.5-inch for a tote bag centrepiece. Ping me if something looks off after the run. Drop a quick note if anything looks off and Ill resend the file.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
