Suprised how much personality a tiger gets just from the angle of its eyebrows. This design is a realistic straight-on portrait head, facing forward, no body, just face from about the ears down to the chin. The mouth is barely open showing a hint of white teeth and those intense amber eyes are looking right at you. The expression isnt angry, its more like that calm alert thing big cats do when they clock something interesting.

Only 3 colours but they do alot of work. Orange for the main fur body, black for the striped markings and outline, white for the muzzle area, the whisker region, the inner ear, and that pale strip above each eye. The fur is the really technical part. Every section has its own directional satin fill that follows how the fur actually lays on a tiger face. The cheek fur runs one way, the forehead fur another, the muzzle is tightly packed short runs. Takes machine time but the result actually looks like fur, not just a flat orange fill.

Density is 1,201 stitches per square centimetre, stitch count goes from 23,795 at the 3.2 inch size up to 61,863 at the largest 6.87 inch wide by 7.5 inch tall size. Thats one of the highest stitch counts I carry and its because of that fur detail work. One customer ordered the large size last october for a wildlife charity fundraiser hoodie and said the face stopped people in their tracks at the event. Dm me if you have questions before you start and Ill walk you through the stabiliser setup.

Use cutaway stabiliser on everything for this one. Even on heavy denim or canvas twill, the fill density at the large sizes will push through a tearaway backing before the design finishes. Pop a mesh topping over any napped fabric like fleece or velvet so the tiger stripes stay crisp.

Best on black, charcoal, navy or dark olive fabrics. On a pale background the orange reads warm and bold, on dark fabric the white muzzle and eyes really light up. Works on hoodies, jacket backs, caps and wildlife themed home decor panels.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Hoodie chest or back panelsThe 6 inch size centred on a black hoodie chest is bold enough to carry the whole piece without any text.
  • Denim jacket back statement panelsAt the full 7.5 inch height on a jacket back it fills the panel like a proper painted bomber jacket motif.
  • Wildlife themed cap frontsThe 3.2 inch version on a structured cap front is tight enough to read clearly even at that smaller scale.
  • Sports team mascot apparelTeams using tiger mascot branding can use the 5 inch version on polo shirts or uniform sweatshirts.
  • Conservation charity fundraiser merchOn a plain navy tee for a wildlife fundraiser it makes a wearable awareness piece that people actually keep.
  • Nature lover gift teesStitched on a cotton tee as a birthday gift for a wildlife fan it is one of the best received designs I sell.
  • Framed hoop wall artHooped on a natural linen ground and stretched in a 7 inch frame it hangs as wall art in a nature themed room.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
