And honestly this little guy is hard not to like. Its a chubby chibi dragon, bright red all over, standing up on two stubby feet like hes just waiting for someone to notice him. The belly is a warm cream panel with a wide tatami fill that breaks up all that red nicely. One bat-style wing curls out to the right, cream membrane stretched between black vein lines. Tail hooks around and down in a thick smooth curve.

The head is probably the best bit. Theres a small tan horn sitting on top, a lavender-pink ear frill that fans back like a little crown, and one round black eye with a tiny curve under it that gives him this permanently surprised expression. No teeth, no claws showing, just pure round friendliness. Seven colours total digitised in my software at 674 stitches per square inch, so the detail stays sharp even on the smallest size.

Six sizes available: smallest is 2.01 by 1.76 inches, biggest hits 7.01 by 6.14. Thats a range from a small onesie chest patch up to a full backpack back panel. A customer last month grabbed the 4-inch version for a set of kids pillowcases and said the red came out looking almost crayon-bright on white cotton. Maximum stitch count is 29k on the large, so hoop firmly and Choose medium cutaway behind underneath. Youll also want a 75/11 sharp needle at that density.

Pick a smooth cotton jersey, fleece, canvas or felt. Place the design on white, cream, light grey or pale yellow, bright red reads best against those. Skip textured knit entirely, the outline work gets lost in the loops. Float a water-soluble topping if youre going onto any open weave and the lines will thank you.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
