Only the bottom half of the face shows, nose, lips, chin. Two large red hibiscus flowers with black centres cover the eyes and forehead completely, petals fanned out flat, the kind that look like they were pressed and then set on fire with colour. Both hands frame the face from the sides, fingers spread, red-painted nails matching the flowers exactly. Green leaves cluster behind the fingers at the edges. The composition draws face and hands in very fine black line art, almost no fill on the skin areas, just the outline and a few minimal contour marks.

Four colours hold this together. Black handles all the linework, face, hands, the lot. Saturated red satin fills the hibiscus petals, layered with petal-direction stitching so each bloom has real depth. Green directional fills handle the leaves, with angles that shift from one leaf to the next. The contrast between the spare linework face and the rich red blooms is the whole point. Its a strong editorial look, not a cute one.

Four sizes, from 5.51 wide by 4.28 tall up to 8.51 by 6.61. This is a large-format design by nature, the smallest size is still over 5 inches wide. Stitch count runs from 29k to 48k, so even the small version is a properly long run. Density is 863, on the higher end. Use a medium to heavy cutaway and dont skip the topping on any fabric with texture. The fine black outlines need a firm smooth base to hold their detail without skipping.

Pick white, off-white or very pale fabric. The design carries its own strong contrast and dosent need the background to do any work. On light denim or pale linen the red petals pop particularly well. Skip anything busy in the fabric print or the fine linework disappears. Give it space, it's built to be the main thing on whatever its stitched onto. Shop visitors keep returning to this one fairly often. Someone sent me photos last month of the large size on an off-white linen tote, she told me people stopped her in the street to ask where she bought the bag. Message me if the petal fills are pulling or the outline thread is skipping and ill check the file settings with you.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
