Honestly one of the densest designs Ive worked on in the kids range. Density of 278 means this t-rex comes out with real texture and body, the scale markings register as raised surface detail rather than just printed lines. Six colours, eight sizes, 3.5 reaching 7.5 in wide, but only 2.24 to 4.8 inches tall so its a wide crouching shape. Stitch counts go from 28,063 up to 64,464 at the largest, so budget extra run time for the big versions.
Because density is so high you need a proper firm cutaway stabiliser, the kind that wont stretch or shift mid-run. Dont try to run this on a tearaway on cotton, even mid-weight cotton will pucker under that stitch load without a solid backing. Add a water-soluble topping on fleece or sweatshirt material so the scale-texture detail doesnt disappear into the nap. The tooth zone and gum line are stitched last in the sequence so they sit on top of the mouth fill, which gives them that nice sharp pop.
Boys birthday gear, school bags, sports kits, halloween party items, thats mostly what I see this one going on based on what my customers mention. Run the 5-inch on a dark navy or olive drab fabric for maximum contrast, the green body can get lost on a light background if you dont have a good underlay pass first. Best results on tightly woven cotton drill, canvas, or denim at the medium-to-large sizes.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Boys birthday party t-shirtThe 5-inch on a navy cotton t-shirt is a proper birthday kid outfit, cutaway keeps the dense fill flat.
- Kids school backpack panelRun the 4-inch on the front panel of a kids school backpack, medium cutaway handles the stitch load.
- Halloween costume accessoryStitch the 4-inch on a felt badge for a halloween costume that gets reused year after year.
- Dino-themed sports kit bagThe 6-inch on a canvas sports kit bag stands out even from across a field on dark fabric.
- Boys bedroom cushion coverA single 5-inch on a grey cushion cover makes a great boys room decoration that wont date fast.
- Kids lunch bag flap designThe 3.5-inch on a neoprene lunch bag flap fits without a hoop adapter on most home machines.
- Cotton cap front panelThe 3.5-inch on a structured cap front runs fine on a cap hoop with firm stabiliser.
- Dino party favour pouchStitch the 3.5-inch on a small cotton party pouch for a dinosaur-themed birthday favour bag.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
