The bicycle is the star here and its drawn with enough detail that you can actually see the spoke pattern in each wheel, the wicker weave on the front basket, the little rear cargo rack and the saddle leather texture. Its a vintage upright style, the kind you picture leaning against a french cafe wall. Everything is in that dusty pink-rose palette which gives the whole piece this faded romantic postcard quality.
Tied to the basket handlebar are 3 big heart-shaped balloons floating up and a string running down. The balloon fill is smooth satin and the hearts have a slight rounding at the top that makes them read as inflated rather than flat. Around the whole composition are smaller open-outline hearts in running stitch, scattered at different sizes and angles. Theres 229 trims in this file at the smallest size because of all those mini outline hearts, so its not the fastest job, but the scatter effect is worth it when the design is finished on pale fabric.
Stitch on white, cream, or blush fabric where the dusty pink frame pops best. Use a light cutaway on woven cotton or a sew-in stabiliser for bags and home goods. Hoop tight because the scattered mini hearts around the edges need the fabric to stay taut during the run. Skip dark backgrounds entirely unless you swap thread colours because this palette relies on the contrast. A customer last valentines day put the 4.5-inch hoop onto a pair of white linen napkins and said every guest at her dinner asked where she bought them.
