Knocked out this one after a friend kept showing me wedding invitation illustrations and asking if Id ever do something similar in thread. The two figures are drawn in a single flowing line art style where the brides updo and the grooms suit collar almost melt into each other. Their faces are in profile, turned inward, foreheads just about to touch. Its the kind of pose where you dont need words.

The grooms arm wraps around holding a cluster of open peony blooms, 3 or 4 of them stacked in that full cabbage-rose style with dark curved foliage and a couple of small bud shapes poking up at the edges. Thats where the only colour comes in, dusty pink satin fill on each petal with directional stitching that follows the petal curve so each one catches light a bit differently. The figures themselves are all black fine outline stitch, clean and uncluttered.

Four sizes in the file: smallest sits at 5.51 by 4.76 inches and largest goes to 8.51 by 7.35, so this fits a standard 8-inch hoop at the top end. Stitch count runs 23,000 to 36,000 depending on size, which is heavier than it looks because of that peony cluster density. The rest of the design is low-density outline work so it stitches fast once you get past the flowers. A customer ordered the 8-inch for a keepsake cushion cover and said it took her 45 minutes total on her Brother machine, which honestly surprised both of us.

Use medium cutaway behind on woven cotton or linen. Cream, ivory, blush or pale grey backgrounds set this off best because the dusty pink peonies need a light base to read clearly. Avoid busy prints, the line work detail gets lost. Hoop taut and float a layer of water-soluble topping on any textured fabric so the fine outline stitches dont sink. And slow your machine down for the peony section, the satin fill likes a steadier pace to keep the columns tight.

Runs in 2 colour stops: black outlines first, then the pink bouquet. Quick changeover, no complicated thread sequence. Holler at the shop with your order number and Ill walk you through the fix.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
