The romantic couple here are two solid black silhouettes, 3.5 inches at the smallest size, standing close together beneath a tree whose branches curve and twist into a big heart shape overhead. Its a simple two-colour build but the composition does alot of heavy lifting. The trunk spreads into bare branches, and those branches fold back into each other to make the heart, so it reads as one continuous flowing shape rather than just a couple with a heart stuck above them. Stitch range sits at 13,736 on the petite end up to 28,366 at full scale, across 5 sizes from 3.5 inches to 7.5 across.

Press a lightweight backer on woven fabrics, and you wont have registration issues even on the bigger 7.5 inch hooped version. I stitched the 5-inch design on cream linen last valentines day and the density of 558 held up perfectly on that weave. For stretchy knits, layer a soft cutaway underneath and press wash-away topping on so the satin areas stay smooth. Youre working with only 2 colours here so thread changes are fast.

A customer last February ordered 20 of the larger size on canvas tote bags as wedding favours for a February wedding. She said the silhouette read really well even from across the room. Drop a name or date underneath in a separate text run and you get a personalised keepsake without overcrowding the design itself. Stitch it on the denim back panel and it fills the space beautifully at the 7 inch size.

Built in industry tools with directional stitching on the branches to give them a wood-grain texture. Skip light-coloured sheer fabrics here since the dense underlay shows through. Pair with a dark ground fabric and the silhouette really pops.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
