Sketched out this one for people who want a heart design thats kinda just different from the usual solid fill. The entire silhouette is made from words stacked and layered at different angles and scales. LOVE runs big and bold near the top, valentine curves along the left side, kisses and XOXO cut diagonally through the centre, and sweet sits heavy at the base. From a distance its a clean heart shape. Up close its a truly nice typography piece.
Single colour, which is what I like about it for digitising. the digitising software mapped the word sequencing cleanly so each letter runs with directional fill rather than just dumping all the stitches in one pass. The density is 474, which is on the lighter side for this stitch type, and it stitches out with an open, airy feel rather than a stiff block. That actually works in your favour on thin fabrics like quilting cotton or lawn because it wont stiffen the drape.
Zero colour changes. One stop. 66 trims, so the machine does pause between each word cluster, but overall its a fast stitch for the detail you get. Sizes run from 3.5 inches wide at full 7.5. Stitch counts go from 10,467 to 22,728 so even the large size isnt gonna take forever on a modern machine. Use a standard medium tearaway stabiliser for most woven fabrics. Cutaway if youre going on knit.
A customer asked me about stitching this on a red fabric and honestly I said dont, single colour designs on matching fabric just disappear. Use white, cream, ivory, or light grey and the red thread really pops. Run it on a cotton t-shirt, a canvas bag, a tea towel, or quilt blocks. Pick the 3.5 or 4.5 inch size for smaller hoops. Reach out if the file needs adjusting for your hoop dimensions and Ill get it sorted.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentine's Day t-shirts and long sleeves in white or creamWhite or cream cotton tee with a 4.5-5 inch version on the chest reads really bold and graphic without being too large
- Quilt blocks and fabric art panelsSingle-colour designs are great for quilt blocks because no colour changes means seam alignment is easy; the 3.5-inch size fits a standard 4x4 hoop block
- Canvas tote bags and market bagsNatural canvas tote at 5-6 inches gives a clean Valentine statement without looking overcrowded
- Throw pillow covers with a typographic feelA 5-inch version on a 16x16 pillow cover, centred, stitches fast with zero colour changes
- Tea towels and kitchen linens for FebruaryWhite waffle-weave or flour sack towels at 4-4.5 inches; the open density wont stiffen the towel fabric
- Valentine card-style framed embroidery hoop artHooped on a 7-inch hoop with natural linen backing in a wooden display frame it reads like a proper handmade valentine gift
- Sweatshirts and pullover hoodiesThe 6-7.5 inch range sits well as a front chest graphic on a sweatshirt; doesnt need topping on most sweatshirt fleece

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
