Yellow rubber ducks sitting in a strip of rippling blue water. The whole thing is a narrow vertical border, tall and slim, with little ducks bobbing at different heights as if the water is actually moving. The design is about 0.73 to 1.56 inches wide depending on size, so its genuinely a border you can run along a towel hem or a bib edge without it eating up the whole piece. Its got that classic bathtime duck look without trying too hard.

Six colours give you bright yellow bodies, orange beaks, sky blue satin fill for the water, a darker blue for the ripple lines, white for the duck body highlights, and a light grey outline. The satin fill on the water is digitised in directional waves so it reads like moving water, not a flat patch. Stitch counts go from 6k on the smallest up to nearly 14k on the 7.5-inch tall version. Pretty light density for a border which means it sits well on terry towelling without going stiff.

Send a note if the file doesnt load right and ill get you a replacement same day. I been using this one on baby shower gift sets for a while now and it goes down really well. One customer last spring stitched it along the bottom edge of 12 white hooded towels for a nursery fundraiser and she said guests actually asked where she bought em.

Use a topping over terry cloth so the ducks dont sink into the loops. Hoop firmly and use cutaway stabiliser underneath. Pop it on white, pale yellow or pale blue cotton or terry and the ducks stand right out. Skip anything with a pattern underneath as the wave details fade. Try the border twice on longer towels, once each end for a proper matched set look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
