Three sailboats. Same size, side by side, in a horizontal strip. Each one has two sails with red and white diagonal stripes, a wooden tan hull, and little aqua ripple marks at the water line. The rigging lines cross between the masts, which is a small detail but it makes each boat feel properly built rather than a flat cartoon. The grey on the second sail of each boat is the mainsail, a bit more muted than the bright red jib, which gives each boat some depth.

Six colours and 5 stops. Red and dark red for the sail stripes, grey for the mainsail, tan for the hull, warm gold for the rail detail, pale blue for the water. The density is 908 stitches per inch on the satin sail columns, which is on the higher end. Use cutaway stabiliser on this one, no question. The satin work is tight and needs proper support underneath or youll get distortion across the diagonal stripe lines. Hoop firm, run at moderate speed, and dont rush the colour change pauses.

The proportions here are narrow and tall, the same strip-border logic as a daisy row. At the smallest size its 1.24 x 3.49 inches, at the largest its 2.66 x 7.5 inches. Youre hooping this along a hemline, a towel border, a collar band, a pillowcase edge. It repeats well if you offset the start position slightly between hoopings. On white or cream cotton the red sails pop. On navy the gold hull detail carries the whole design. A customer wrote me back in april, she does coastal decor napkins as a small side business and runs the full strip repeated twice on each napkin edge. Sold a set of 8 at a beach market in one afternoon that month.

Stitch count runs from 8,242 to 18,112 across 9 sizes. Cotton twill, canvas, and linen all work well with the density. Avoid thin voile or lightweight jersey without topping film, the satin detail will sink right through. Skip fleece entirely on this one, the hull fills are dense and wont look right on any pile surface.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
