Its a fat little barrel cactus sitting upright with a full red Santa hat tilted slightly sideways on top. The hat has the white fluffy trim band at the base and a round pom-pom dangling off the tip. Theres alot of character packed into this one given its basically just a round green blob wearing holiday headwear. The arms are the little stubby cactus arms going out to the sides, and a few spines poke out across the body.

Six colours in total. Forest green body with a slightly darker green for the shading sections and the spines. The Santa hat is a clean bright red with crisp white satin-column trim at the base. Background fills use a warm sandy tan so the whole thing pops on white cotton or cream linen without looking washed out. Digitised in the software I use so the underlay is solid and the satin trim on the hat actually stitches clean even on the 3-in micro size.

I get messages every christmas from desert-state customers who want something a lil different from the usual snowflake-and-pine stuff. And honestly this is the one that fills that gap. People who live in Arizona or New Mexico love putting a southwest twist on their holiday pieces, and alot of them buy multiple sizes for different projects in the same season.

Stitch it on a 16-oz cotton tote for a gift bag look. Pop it on a cream or sage fleece pullover for a casual holiday layer. Try it on a white cotton kitchen towel for the holiday kitchen rotation. Pop firm cutaway stretchy knits or loose-weave canvas so those 21k stitches on the big size dont pull. Tear-away on sturdy woven twill works fine for the mid sizes.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
