Ive had a lot of requests for a scattered-hearts design with a gap for text and this is it, dozens of tiny individual red hearts packed edge to edge forming a large heart silhouette, split at the horizontal centre so youve got room to run a name or monogram straight through the middle. Drew this up specifically for personalised valentines gifts.
1 colour total. Red the whole way through, no colour changes, just 36 trims as the needle hops between each lil heart. The density sits at 354 stitches per square inch, lower than average on purpose so the small hearts dont bleed together and you lose the scattered look. Youve got 6 sizes: smallest is 2.13 inches wide (5,342 stitches), largest is 6.36 inches wide (16,908 stitches). Stitch on white or cream cotton for maximum red contrast. Drop tearaway under wovens, switch to cutaway on any knit or stretch to stop the base puckering. Skip the topping on smooth cotton, add it on terry or fleece.
I get messages every february asking if the centre gap works for initials and the answer is yes, its sized for most standard single-line lettering files. Grab the small-hoop run at 3.5 for pouches and gift bags, grab the 6-inch for a pillow or tote. The 6-inch fits a standard 7x7 hoop with no problem.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
