Hearts scattered in a loose oval ring, about 20 or so of different sizes tumbling around the centre. Some are bigger chunky fills, some are lil accent hearts no bigger than your thumbnail, and they sit at different angles like they just fell into place. The middle stays totally open so ya can add a name, monogram or a small text line inside. 2 colours only: red satin fill and a black outline on select hearts, most are outline-free fills.

Density is 474 which is a normal-to-light fill weight for hearts this size, meaning the satin doesnt pucker through lighter fabrics even on the 3.11-inch small size. Stitch counts go from 9,973 up to 23,616 on the 6.64-inch large. The digitising lays each heart as a seperate satin element rather than one merged fill, so every heart retains its own directional stitch angle. That gives the finished piece real dimension rather than a flat look.

These frames are popular for personalised valentine gifts and I get a steady stream of orders for this type every year from late january onwards. One customer last valentines week sent me a photo of a finished piece she'd hooped with a childs name embroidered in red script inside the heart ring on a white cotton pillowcase. Really clean result. She used medium-weight tearaway stabiliser which makes sense for woven cotton at this density level.

Stitch it on white cotton tee fronts, cream linen cushion covers, pale canvas tote bags or thick cotton tea towels. Back with heavyweight cutaway on stretchy fabrics to keep the ring shape from distorting. Skip loose-weave fabrics because individual satin hearts at this scale need a firm base or you get bobbin show-through. Add a wash-away topping on any pique or waffle-weave cotton to keep the fills smooth.

The open centre is the whole point of this one so make sure ya dont underlay-fill it by mistake on your machine software. Send me the order number if there are any file issues and Ill get a replacement out straight away.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Valentines day cotton tee with name inside frameWhite tee front at 5 inches; run the frame first then add a name in the open centre on a second hoop pass; a customer did a child's name in red script inside and said it came out really clean.
  • Personalised cushion cover with monogram centreCream linen cushion at 6 inches with a monogram centred; the scattered ring fills the panel generously without feeling like it needs anything else.
  • Cream linen table runner valentines centrepieceCotton table runner at each end, 4-inch hooped; the red on cream reads classic without any additional embellishment on the runner field.
  • Kids valentines party bag with name hooped insideCalico party bag at 3.5 inches with a kids name inside; runs in under 20 minutes per bag which matters when youre doing a whole class set.
  • White cotton tea towel kitchen valentine decorWhite tea towel lower corner at 5 inches; the open centre means you can add a handwritten message inside in fabric pen for a personalised touch.
  • Canvas tote bag valentines gift wrap alternativeCanvas tote at 5 inches on medium tearaway; the medium density holds without distorting the flat bag panel, satin hearts come out sharp-edged.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
