The classic diamond-shaped school crossing sign, yellow background fill with a black outline border and a small walking figure in the centre, the kind you see on roads near schools everywhere. Two colours, yellow and black, very simple build. But because its so instantly recognisable it works on alot of different items, bags, shirts, teacher gifts, back-to-school gear. Stitch count starts at just 1,612 for the tiny 1.35 inch size and goes up to 8,980 at the full 4.92 inch wide version.
I digitised this with a light density of 331, so it stays soft after stitching and doesnt stiffen light fabrics. The figure inside the sign is done as a running stitch outline so the detail stays clear even at the smallest size. Five sizes total, 1.35 to 4.92 inches across and 1.51 to 5.51 inches tall. Pop a tearaway behind wovens and a soft cutaway on knit fabrics. And at the smaller sizes youll want water-soluble film over terry cloth to stop the stitches sinking into the loops.
I had a teacher friend order this last september for a bunch of tote bags she was making for a school fundraiser. She used the 3-in build on navy cotton canvas bags. Customers use it alot for back-to-school projects, teacher gifts, classroom decor hoops. The simplicity is the point here, you dont need alot of colour or detail to make it work.
Stitch it on canvas, cotton twill, denim, jersey, all work well. Keep the background light if you want the yellow fill to show properly. Pair with white, cream, or pale fabric for best impact. Skip dark backgrounds unless you swap the yellow for white or gold thread, which also looks brilliant and reads just as clearly.
Five sizes, two colour changes, quick stitch on any home machine. Its compact and clean at every size, cant go wrong.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
