The gnome is sitting cross-legged, or close enough, legs splayed out at the bottom with those little rounded purple shoes. Pink shorts show between the legs. The body is mostly hidden by a big fluffy grey beard that fans out on both sides and sits heavy in the middle. Two small peach-coloured hands grip the sides of an open blue textbook thats held up in front, the spine visible on the cover reading school. Pretty much all you can see of the face is the wide bulbous gnome nose poking out below the hat brim.
The hat is the real focal point. It takes up a big portion of the total height, tall and pointed with a slight forward lean, gradient shading from deep purple at the base to a lighter lavender toward the tip. On the front, in white lettering, it says SCHOOL in block caps, and just above sits an I with a small red heart beside it. Simple, reads instantly, no ambiguity. Thats the hat of a gnome who genuinely enjoys a Tuesday maths lesson.
Ten colours, nine colour changes, which is what makes it more involved. Stitch count goes up to 46k on the biggest size so budget your machine time accordingly. Its a wide squat shape rather than tall, so it fits nicely on most standard hoops. Run a test on a scrap piece first since the hat gradient needs the colours in the right sequence to sit clean. Back with a stabiliser firm enough for the satin outline work around the hat edges. And keep the hoop tight across the beard section or the fluffy fill wont sit right. People have been buying this one a lot around back-to-school time in late summer, teachers and parents alike, so I keep it updated and ready to download year-round.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
