Its an open book laid flat, and sitting right in the centre where the pages spread open theres a teal pencil holder stuffed full of supplies, 3 pencils in yellow and red sticking up, a purple paintbrush, a yellow-green leaf stalk, a red marker, and on the right side an orange triangle ruler with a compass tucked beside it. Colourful stars scatter around the whole thing, maybe eight of em, in yellow, purple, teal and orange. The purple cover has heavy black outlines and the pages are light grey with stitched line detail. truly the kind of design that reads as a bunch of separate objects that somehow all feel like one image.
I digitised this with 14 colour changes, which is a lotta thread swaps but every element gets its own colour so nothing bleeds into anything else. 5 sizes ranging from 2.77 inches wide up to 5.93 inches. The largest runs 28,216 stitches at 634 density. Use a good tearaway stabiliser for medium weight cotton, and if youre stitching onto a thicker canvas drop it to cutaway for cleaner results. The satin outlines around the cover binding especially need a steady base or the edges lift. Dont skip the stabiliser step on jersey fabrics.
A customer wrote in last month saying she used this on a teachers desk pencil pouch and it was the most popular item at the school fair. Heres what worked for her: white cotton canvas, medium hoop, standard polyester thread for the stars. Drop me a note if you run into colour order questions and Ill pull up my notes.
Use it on kids backpacks, teacher tote bags, or a fabric school pencil case. Stitch it on a denim shirt pocket for a fun first day outfit. Pop it onto a wall hanging for a kids bedroom or playroom. Go with white, cream or navy backgrounds so the rainbow colours stand out. Great for end of year gifts and school fundraiser items aswell.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
