Dm me if you want advice on sizing. The seagull is standing still on those two orange stick legs, body facing left, round white chest puffed out the way they always are, wings folded back with the grey flight feathers visible. The beak has a slight hook at the tip which is what makes it clearly a seagull rather than a generic white bird. Orange beak, black eye dot. Five colours, 4 colour changes.

The feather stitching uses directional fill, which means the wing sections catch light differently from the chest. At the medium 4.5-inch size you can see the layering where the white body transitions into the grey wing area, theres an underlay pass keeping the body fill from going flat and letting the grey feather texture come through. professional digitising software ran the stitching along the natural feather growth lines and it really shows at larger sizes.

A customer from a coastal gift shop ordered the 3-inch version last summer for a small run of cream linen tote bags for tourists who wanted a simple local wildlife souvenir. She said the bags sold out in the first weekend and she had to reorder immediately. Thats the kind of use case this was made for, understated and place-specific without being generic.

Best on cream, ecru, or light blue linen or cotton so the white chest reads as bright. Avoid white fabric because it disappears into the ground. Use lightweight cutaway on woven fabrics since the density is 377 and ya dont need heavy stabiliser. The narrow orange satin beak and leg columns hoop snug for best results, keep the bobbin tension clean.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
