Seated at a sewing machine on cream white fabric, a round-faced girl figure stitches away with spools of thread visible on the table beside her. Its a 6-colour build with dusty pink in her clothing, sage green in the thread accents, chestnut brown in her hair, and the machine itself in a warm charcoal. The whole scene has a gentle illustrated quality, not sharp-edged graphic work but softer and rounder, the kind of thing youd find on a handmade craft bag.

Stitch count goes from 17,527 at the 3.46-inch small end up to 42,888 at the full 7.42-inch width. Density is 771, which is firm but not extreme. Use an iron-on cutaway stabiliser for anything with give in it, and a standard tearaway on stiff woven cotton or canvas. Hoop tight, the fine detail in the sewing machine outline and thread spool highlights needs a flat stable base to register properly. Press water-soluble film over any textured fabric surface and pull it away cleanly after the run finishes.

I get alot of orders for this one from craft shop owners who want something personal on their aprons or project bags. One customer last winter ordered 8 versions for a sewing class gift set, she ran the 5-inch onto natural canvas pouches and paired each one with a set of hand needles and a small thread card. Thats a genuinely nice way to use a design and Im glad it suited that kind of project.

Best on medium-weight cotton canvas, denim, or quilting cotton. Avoid stretchy knits without a firm cutaway backing. Stitch on craft aprons, project bags, sewing room cushions, or notebook covers. Pair a name below using a simple serif font for personalised craft gifts.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Craft room apronsStitch the 5-inch version on a cotton drill apron bib, dusty pink and sage tones suit most craft room colour palettes.
  • Sewing project bags and pouchesUse the 4 or 5-inch size on natural canvas project pouches, the illustrated character adds personality to plain fabric bags.
  • Quilters tote bagsPlace the 6-inch version centred on a wide canvas tote for quilters carrying fabric or notions to a class.
  • Sewing class gift setsStitch the 5-inch size on canvas pouches as sewing class gifts, add a name below in a simple serif font.
  • Notebook or journal coversUse the 3.5-inch version on a hardcover notebook wrap in cotton muslin for a personalised craft journal cover.
  • Sewing room cushion coversCentre the 5-inch version on a cotton cushion cover for a sewing room wall or chair accent.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
