Nine colours and a density of 1,023 stitches per square inch, which tells you this ones got a lot of detail packed in. The gnome itself is the classic format: massive rust-orange hat with horizontal texture stitching, the whole face basically hidden behind a bushy white beard except for the nose and round pink cheeks. Then theres the teal vintage sewing machine sitting in front of em, flywheel and presser foot and all, and a giant thread spool standing beside it nearly the same hight as the gnome.

Five sizes from 3.51 up to 7.51 inches wide. Use a good cutaway stabiliser on this one because the beard area and the machine base both have dense fill coverage, you dont want registration drift mid-hoop. Stitch the larger sizes on canvas or denim where the stitch weight can really settle in. The satin areas on the teal machine are particularly clean at the 5-inch and up sizes.

I love making sewing-themed designs and this one is my personal favourite of the lot. Last christmas my customers were ordering this for project bags and sewing room decor gifts constantly, it doesnt slow down much in the off-season either. Stitch it onto a natural linen apron or a canvas pouch for the sewist in your life. Pair it with a name for a personalised sewing room gift. Any file questions just message me.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Sewing room decor on wall hoops and framed piecesStitch onto cream or natural linen and mount in a wooden hoop to hang above a sewing desk or cutting table.
  • Project bags, sewing pouches and notions organisersProject bags for WIP storage are the obvious choice here, the design makes it clear whats inside.
  • Aprons for sewists and craft teachersAn apron with this on the chest pocket is a nice gift for someone who teaches sewing classes.
  • Christmas gifts for quilters, sewists and fabric loversSells really well in the november and december run-up as a gift for the sewist in the family.
  • Craft fair vendor totes and display itemsA natural canvas tote with this on the front is a practical vendor item for quilt shows and craft fairs.
  • Personalised gifts for sewing club members and instructorsStitch names alongside it for sewing bee members or as an end-of-term gift for a class instructor.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
