Its the classic pot of gold rainbow scene but with shamrocks added to the crown of the arc instead of just the rainbow alone. Six stripe rainbow runs from cloud at left to pot at right. Three big green four-leaf clovers burst out the top of the arc, theres a st patricks day twist baked in instead of just a regular rainbow.

Clouds at each end of the rainbow are fluffy and rounded, done in cream tatami fill so theyve got a soft feel instead of hard outlines. The treasure pot sits on the right side, painted in deep gold satin with darker gold shadow detail to give it dimension. A few small gold coins spill out from the rim, indicating treasure overflow.

Rainbow is done as parallel satin columns side by side, six bright colour stripes: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. The colour blocks stay clean as long as you hoop firmly, otherwise the columns can drift into each other on softer fabrics. Hooping is half the job here, its worth a few extra seconds.

I get questions about this design every year around early march from customers planning st patricks day kid party gear. Last year a customer ordered it for a parade day stroller blanket for her toddler, the photo she sent me with the kid wrapped in it on his stroller, dad pushing, rainbow looking great, thats one of my faves. Four colours used effectively for the rainbow plus pot.

Stitch on cream, white or pale blue cotton so all six rainbow stripes pop bright. Skip dark fabrics, yellow and orange will dissapear on navy or black. Cutaway stabiliser behind any tee, sweatshirt or stretch knit. Slip tearaway under cotton aprons and totes. Hoop tight especially for the 7.5 motif, the parallel satin runs are picky about fabric stability.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
