Bright kinda just-zooms-off-the-shirt shooting star piece. The star itself is a solid five point shape filled in burnt orange with a deep red core, sat up top right. Behind it the comet tail fans out diagonally down to the lower left in six chunky stripes, dark red, orange, bright green, aqua, royal blue and a hot magenta on the bottom. No shading, no gradients, just clean satin fills with directional sweep so the tail feels like real motion.

Im a fan of how punchy this one reads. Solid bold colours, no fiddly detailing, gonna stitch out fast. The full size piece runs 6.57 inches across and 7.51 tall, the smallest sits 3.07 by 3.51 so its versatile across hoop sizes. Stitch count tops at 14,541 on the biggest, lowest is 5,842. Twelve thread changes on the worksheet but only six actual rainbow shades plus the star.

Best on smooth flat fabrics, im talkin cotton tees, jersey hoodies, canvas tote panels. Ive been digitising rainbow comet pieces for years and this one actually benefits from a midweight cutaway underneath. Skip dark fabric here, the magenta and aqua stripes wash out on black or navy. Cream, white, soft pink or pale grey grounds let those rainbow tones sing properly.

Hoop tight, lay a polyester topping over plush or terry, run the satin direction with the tail flow not against it. The aqua and dark red sit closest to the densitiest section so plan a colour swap when those two stops come up. I customise the magenta swap to a soft purple sometimes for nursery jobs, a customer wrote me last april asking for that switch on her grandsons quilt block.

Send me a quick chat msg if the file errors out, ill rework and resend within the day no fuss.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Kids' rainbow teesStitch right across the chest of a kids tee, it works really well as a single hero motif sized 6 inches.
  • Birthday party hoodiesPop on a birthday hoodie back panel, my niece had hers stitched for her 5th party last year.
  • Diaper bag panelsAdd it to the side of a cream diaper bag panel, soft fabrics let the colour fan stay vivid.
  • Reading corner pillowUse as the corner accent on a reading nook pillow, rainbow tail pointing into the cushion centre.
  • Backpack flap accentPair on a kids backpack flap, the magenta stripe lines up well with most pink trim straps.
  • Pride month gift apparelStitch as a pride month gift tee in late june, the rainbow streak reads cleaner than gradients.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
