And honestly this is the one I keep coming back to when someone needs something clean for a pet gift. Its a red paw print with no fill inside, and the palm pad at the base curves down into a soft heart shape instead of sitting as a flat oval. Thats really all it takes to lift it above a plain stamp. The four rounded toe beans sit grouped above the pad and the whole thing runs as a single clean satin loop when the machine goes through it.

my digitising suite built the underlay and density across all 5 sizes, so every size stitches cleanly without pulling. The smallest comes in at 2.47 inches wide with 2411 stitches, and the biggest runs to 5.42 inches with 6536 stitches. Pop a lightweight cutaway underneath and youre good on any fabric with a bit of texture. One colour thread, zero colour changes.

A customer last week asked about putting the paw on a canvas tote with a heavy weave, and I said go 4 inches and lay water-soluble topping over the fabric first. The satin stitches wont sink into the fibres that way. She came back and said it sat really crisp. Hoop a firm piece of stabiliser so the fabric doesnt shift mid-run and youll get that same result.

Stitch it onto fleece pet blankets, linen tote bags, cotton bandanas, or kids iron-on patches. The heart-base pad gives this design a softer read than more geometric paw versions out there.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Iron-on name patches for dog collar bandanasStitch the 2.5-inch size on cotton twill, add the pet name below with a split font.
  • Pet memorial keepsake pillowcaseThe 5-inch version sits centred on a 20x20 inch pillowcase with room for a name above.
  • Canvas tote bag for dog walking gearClean on natural canvas at the 4-inch size, one pass on medium cutaway and its done.
  • Kids hoodie pocket left-chest placementThe 2.47-inch fits the left chest of most kids hoodies without overpowering the silhouette.
  • DIY pet birthday banner on felt squaresCut felt into pennant shapes, stitch one paw per pennant, string them on jute twine.
  • Cat mum apron front panelGoes on the front bib panel of any apron at the 3-inch size, single red thread.
  • Personalised pet food mat border repeatRun 3 or 4 prints in a row along the mat edge at the 2.5-inch size for a repeating border.
  • Fleece throw blanket corner motifThe 5.42-inch version fills a blanket corner well and holds up through machine washing.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
