Worked up this skeleton butterfly fairy design last autumn and its one of those pieces that genuinely surprised me. The fairy is in landscape orientation, wings spread wide on both sides with fine vein lines running through each wing panel. The skeleton body shows through a sheer dress outline, arms lifted like she just landed on something.
Two colours total. Black fills the body silhouette and the wing borders, white picks out the skeleton bones and the vein highlights inside the wings. Close up its really detailed, ya can actually see the individual ribs and wing cells. Stitch count runs from about 7,000 at from 3.5 baseline to fifteen thousand two hundred at the largest.
Comes in 5 sizes, widths from 3.5 inches out to 7.5 inches. Because its landscape you get a lil more wing presence even at the smaller sizes. One customer told me she used the 5 inch version as a pocket print on a black hoodie and it looked properly editorial. Pair it on dark fabric so the white skeleton detail pops.
Stitch it on cotton, canvas, denim or a light fleece. Use a stabiliser with cutaway backing for stretch knits, tearaway is fine for woven cotton or twill. White thread on white base will disappear so stick to black, charcoal, navy or deep plum.
Drop me a note if you run into any loading issues and Ill sort it quickly.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
