Skull-shaped ice cream popsicle on a wooden stick, made for the goth-summer bracket who want skull designs that aren't all grimness and darkness. The concept is simple and weird in the best way: a skull shaped like a melting popsicle on a stick. The popsicle form has the rounded skull dome at the top, hollow dark eye sockets and the classic grinning teeth, and melting drip shapes running down the sides so the whole design reads as both a skull and a frozen treat left in the sun too long.

Only 4 colours which keeps the colour changes minimal mid-run. White or cream satin fills the skull body, black handles the eye sockets, teeth gaps and the thick outline, then theres a pale pink or mint accent in the drip sections that ties everything to the frozen dessert concept without losing the gothic edge. my main digitising tool ran the density at 1,359 which is the highest in this collection, so the white skull body has a dense smooth fill and the black outlines sit raised and sharp. The drip columns use fine satin work and the high density means they hold their tapered shape cleanly without splaying at the tips.

A customer who runs a small gothic accessories stall at weekend markets told me last summer this design is consistently their top-selling embroidered piece. They run a 5-in run on black cotton tote bags and sell out before noon, their words. Put it on dark fabric, black, charcoal or deep navy, that cream body on a dark base is where the contrast really works. On pale fabric it loses the punch and just looks like a white blob with eye holes. Thats not what youre after.

Use a heavy cutaway stabiliser regardless of fabric, the 1,359 density on anything above 4 inches is dense enough to distort without a firm base underneath. Hoop the fabric very snug and drop the machine speed for the skull fill sections where the bobbin has to handle long dense satin columns. Pop the 4 to 5-in centred on tote or patch for the most wearable proportions, its wide enough to catch both the skull face and the drip detail clearly. Stitch the 6 to 7 inch run on the jacket back or a large canvas panel for the full dense gothic piece as a statement item.

The 9 hoops cover 3.5 inch through 7.5, with 14,018 to 40,862 stitches. Message me if any format causes issues and Ill sort it same day.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
