Theres a small black cat curled up asleep on top of 3 books and it is honestly the cosiest thing Ive digitised in a while. The cat is that deep directional black with a tiny closed eye and a pink nose, tail dangling off the side of the stack. The books under it go cream, orange, and hot pink with page-line detail across the spines. Real satisfying layered look once its stitched out.

Behind and around the cat are these big simple daisy flowers in orange, teal, and pink with bright green leaves poking up everywhere. Twelve colour changes total, thirteen stops, but my software laid them out in a sensible order so you arent jumping back and forth across the hoop. At the smallest size its 14,338 stitches and at the biggest 6.74-inch width it hits 38,946, which is a lot of thread going through a bobbin so wind a spare before you start.

I made this one for a library teacher I know who wanted something for her classroom tote bags. She ordered 6 bags worth last spring and kids kept asking where she got them, so she came back for the tote design again in September. I get messages from book club organisers and school librarians pretty regularly about this one, its become a bit of a favourite in that crowd.

Stitch on cream or white cotton for the cleanest colour read. Soft canvas or twill works great too. Avoid dark backgrounds because the cream page lines on the books need that contrast. Back it with medium cutaway under jersey or any stretch fabric, and a medium tearaway on stable woven cotton. The satin columns on the flower petals benefit from a thin topping on fluffy fabrics like fleece.

Drop me a note if something looks off after the run and Ill look into it for you.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
