Cat completely loafed. Paws tucked under, tail curled around, eyes shut. The whole body is a rounded compact shape thats kinda adorable honestly. Four colours across the design: warm grey for the main body, cream for the belly and muzzle patch, soft charcoal for the ears and toe detail, and dusty peach for the inner ear. Fur stitching runs in proper directional passes so on larger sizes those coat sections look genuinely textured, not just flat colour blocks.

Nine sizes, smallest around 3.5 inches wide, largest just under 7.5 by 6.6 inches. Stitch count jumps from 12k at the small end to 41k on the full size, so the big version's a full-detail piece. Back cutaway on any fabric for the larger sizes because that texture work needs solid backing to stay dimensional. Tear-away works fine on woven cotton for anything under the 5-inch mark.

My niece is cat-obsessed and she basically commissioned this one by sending me 47 reference photos of her own grey cat sleeping in exactly this position. I made 3 versions before landing on this loaf shape. She stitched the large size on a cream linen pillow cover and it genuinely looks like the cat is just... resting there on the sofa. Those feather passes across the back really sell it on heavier linen weave, way better than a flat fill would.

Stitch on cream, white, or warm ivory linen for the coziest result. Pop it on a fleece hoodie front for something more casual. Skip dark fabric unless your cat's a light colour because the cream belly section wont read well on navy or black without good contrast. Hoop flat, use a topping on any textured fabric like terry or waffle cloth, and let the underlay do its job before the fill layers go down.
