Heres a sleepy koala napping on a curved branch and the whole piece is one big bedtime cuddle. The koala is the star, powder blue grey body, big fluffy ears, eyes closed, peach blush on the cheeks and one black button nose. He drapes belly-down across a brown branch that arcs like a moon, and a soft cream moon shape sits behind him for that nursery glow.
And the eucalyptus leaves wrapping the moon are what bring the green. Fresh leaf greens, two shades, layered on slim stems that curl in from both sides. Some leaves point up, some hang down. Honestly its the kind of detail that suprised me how much it lifts the piece, the leaves stop the moon feeling flat.
So the branch under the koala holds the structure. Warm chocolate brown, with a couple of tonal stripes for bark texture. The koalas paws hang over the branch on either side, claws tucked under, and his bum rounds off the back. Last christmas one customer ordered the 6-inch size for her newborn nieces nursery cushion and the cream moon read so soft on a pale grey muslin.
But the lil details are what win people over. The closed eye stitch is a single curved line, the nose sits in shiny black satin and theres a tiny tuft of fluff on top of the head. Stitch on cream, ivory, dusty pink, sage or pale grey for the softest result. Skip dark fabric, you lose the moon and the powder blue koala recieved alot less contrast than you want.
Density runs moderate to high at 47k stitches on the largest size, 17k on smallest. Use a soft cutaway stabiliser on muslin or jersey blanket fabric, and a tearaway works on cotton hooped tight. Hoop the muslin gentle, dont overstretch. Run a stitch test on scrap first because the koalas face needs the underlay sitting clean. Message me if any sizing or colour swaps go sideways, ill sort it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
