Heres the Sleighin It christmas pun in flowing black brush calligraphy. The word sleighin sweeps across the main line with a lil it tucked below it, and a wavy green christmas light wire drapes through the lettering with small red yellow aqua and magenta bauble bulbs strung along the loop. Real casual playful vibe.
6 colours total. Black for the brush script, green for the wire, plus 4 bauble shades. Stitches go from 4,757 at the smallest 2.09 by 3.51 inch up to 10,618 at the biggest 4.48 inch wide version. Density at 316 super light, so the script sits flat on cotton without puckering. industry software was my digitising env, the satin column angles along the brush strokes with fine outline work tracing the bulb shapes. Each bulb runs at like 110 to 140 stitches so the colour stops are super quick.
A customer ordered the 4 inch size last christmas, told me her teen daughter wore the sleighin it sweatshirt to her highschool christmas dance and got compliments all night. Just the cheeky pun energy this design has. The 3 inch size also fits onto a tote pocket or stocking front without crowding the layout.
Best on cotton, fleece, twill, canvas, or denim where the script can read clean. Use light tearaway stabiliser, the low density wont need anything heavy. Skip stretchy thin jersey, the script weight might shift under tension. Pop topping above fleece or terry so the lil bulb outlines dont sink. And use polyester thread for the brights so the bauble colours stay punchy through the wash. Run a 75/11 sharp needle for the fine script curves.
