The skull has a cigarette clamped right between the teeth, and the smoke curls upward in those organic wispy lines that are honestly the hardest part to digitise well. Eye sockets have proper shadow shading inside em, not just black holes. The jawline detail and cheekbone structure give it that weight of a real illustration rather than a flat clipart skull.

Nine colours, the skull itself is off-white with warm grey shadow fills, the ember on the cigarette tip has a little amber-orange glow, the smoke wisps are done in light grey thread. Stitch count starts at 31,726 for the 3 micro size, the large 7.5 inch version hits 84,481 stitches. Density is high at 1707, so this is a heavy-stitch design and budget machines may struggle on the dense sections, youll want a decent commercial-grade machine here honestly.

Nine sizes from 3.5 by 3.07 inches up to 7.5 by 6.6, Send me a note if you need a custom resize outside that range. halloween and biker events drive alot of orders here. A customer ordered a dozen hoodies with the large version last October, sent pics, and it looked sharp on black fleece, exactly the kind of bold result this deserves.

Use heavy cutaway stabiliser, this stitch density demands it. Stitch on denim, canvas, fleece or thick cotton. Avoid light fabrics entirely on the bigger sizes. Use a slow-to-medium machine speed on the dense shadow fill sections and dont rush it.

Skip light or pastel base fabrics, they dont suit this design at all. Black, charcoal, navy, dark grey or deep burgundy are the colours that let this one breathe. Thats kinda the rule. Heres my pick, black fleece wins. Im a fan. Youll see why. Message me if youve got file loading issues or questions about the format.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Biker jacket back panelsThe 7 inch version on a black denim jacket back panel is exactly what this design is for, heavy and bold.
  • Rock band merchandiseOn band merchandise like black tees or hoodies the skull reads as rock aesthetic without being overly theatrical.
  • Halloween-themed apparelA mid-size version on a black hoodie for halloween season is a perennial favourite for custom apparel makers.
  • Gothic canvas tote bagsOn a black or charcoal canvas tote the skull works as a gothic-style statement piece for everyday carry.
  • Men's cap front placementA 4 inch version on the front of a dark structured cap gives a clean biker-adjacent look without overdoing it.
  • Dark-themed throw pillowsOn a dark charcoal or black throw pillow the skull adds gothic edge to an industrial or alternative decor space.
  • Custom vest patchesStitched on heavy canvas or denim cut to size it works as a badge or patch for vests and jacket sleeves.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
