I drew up this snake and floral piece back in 2 stages last spring, one customer messaged me asking for a snake design that didnt feel scary, more witchy garden than reptile house. So the snake here winds through five separate blooms and the whole thing reads as a botanical sketch rather than animal art. The width tops out at seven point five inches and that height stretches almost the same so plan a tall hoop. The colours run nine threads through the run including 3 different greens for the snake scales and leaves.

Stitch count starts at 20449 on the smallest three point five inch version and climbs up to 52230 on the biggest 7.51 inch version. The density sits at 975 spi which sits at medium fill. hoop one size larger and float a fresh medium weight cutaway, the snake belly satin will pucker on stretchy tees without proper backing.

The petal fills run as soft shaded blends rather than flat colour blocks. So lay water soluble soluble topping over textured cotton or linen so the satin outlines dont sink into the weave. And the snake tongue is a tiny detail thats easy to lose if you rush registration. pick cream linen for the build, sage cotton, or unbleached canvas for the painterly look. Avoid black or very dark backgrounds, the dusty olive and ochre lose contrast and the entire thing flattens out.

One customer ordered the 6 inch version for a tarot reader friends apothecary apron, she said the indigo bud reads almost purple in person which she loved. But the smallest size also works really well as a sleeve accent on a denim jacket. Drop me a chat message if your hoop puckers on the leaf fills and Ill help you sort it the pull comp settings for ya.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Witchy apron chest panel embroideryTarot reader friends apothecary apron, customer told me the indigo bud reads almost purple in person which she really liked.
  • Tarot bag drawstring face designSleeve accent on a denim jacket, smallest size works for that placement because the tall vertical pose curves along the seam.
  • Botanical tea towel centerpiece motifCream linen and sage cotton both hold the painterly petal blends well, avoid black or very dark backgrounds because the olive flattens.
  • Denim jacket sleeve accent panelReads as botanical sketch rather than animal art when stitched on a drawstring tarot bag, the snake winds through the blooms.
  • Linen tote bag full face panelHolds a 7 inch hoop kept tight for standalone wall art, raw edges trimmed close so the vertical composition sits proud.
  • Cushion cover statement floral pieceStitches at 975 spi which is dense enough for cotton but not jersey, fusible cutaway needed if you want a poly knit version.
  • Wall hoop art tall format displayRayon thread brings out the soft sheen across the wine roses and blush peony when paired with a heavy canvas tote face.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
