This ones harder to explain than it looks, so bear with me. The snowflake isnt actually stitched as a shape, its built entirely from words. The 6-point crystal form, the branching arms, the tip accents, all of it is made by stacking christmas words like Joy, Merry, believe, Mistletoe, Friends, Peace, snow, each one sized and angled to follow the geometry of the snowflake branch it sits on. When you step back from the hoop you see the snowflake. When you get close, you realise its all text.

That visual trick is what makes this one so shareable. I get messages every winter from people who stitched it on a navy tea towel in white and cant believe how different it looks from the preview. Works in any single thread colour so you can match it to any project palette. Just 1 colour stop, one thread change at the start. Stitch count from 14,077 at 3.5 inches up to 29,152 at 7.5 inches wide, nearly square proportions so it sits well on pillows, hoops and wall art pieces.

Hoop a no-show cutaway on the large size, the dense word-fill stitching at 7.5 inches needs a stable base or it can pucker on lighter fabrics. Stitch it in silver metallic thread on a dark grey linen pillow and the result is honestly better than any shop-bought christmas decoration. Try it on cream linen first if youre new to metallic threads though, metallic can be finicky.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Frame in an embroidery hoop as minimalist christmas wall artThe near-square proportions fit a 6-8 inch embroidery hoop display perfectly
  • Stitch on a throw pillow cover in white on navy for a wintery home lookWhite thread on a dark navy pillow gives a clean high-contrast result
  • Use on a holiday tea towel in a pale blue for clean seasonal decorAt 5 inches wide it centres well on a linen tea towel
  • Embroider on a christmas table runner as a repeating snowflake motifUse the 3.5 inch version repeating every 6 inches along a table runner
  • Put on a kids winter hat or beanie in white for a subtle seasonal touchThe 3.5 inch size fits a knit beanie front panel without distorting the knit
  • Stitch onto a tote bag in a contrasting single colour for a graphic giftA 5-7 inch version fills a tote bag front with impact
  • Use on a christmas card fabric insert as a handmade keepsakeSingle colour makes it easy to match any stabiliser or fabric combination

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
