Nine colours sounds like alot but this snowman earns every one of them. The sweater across the big round belly uses 4 shades of green to get that layered zigzag knit look, light lime through to deep forest, and the black chevron stitch running between the bands gives it a real texture. The grey hat sits flat on top with the green band detail, the face is a soft blush pink, and the carrot nose is that specific bright orange that pops against all the green.

Im not gonna pretend this one is a quick stitch. At 33,297 stitches in the largest 4.29 by 6.51 inch size its a serious file, its gonna take your machine a while. Density is 1,192, the highest of any design in this collection, so you need a firm cutaway stabiliser and a needle size that matches your thread weight. Dont skimp on the bobbin tension check before you start. The smallest size runs 9,703 stitches at 1.66 by 2.51 inches and is still genuinely detailed for a 2.5 inch design.

my professional tool used the 9 thread colours with 8 colour changes to build the sweater fill at opposing directional angles per band so each green shade reads as a separate layer. The white body fill uses a low-density underlay first, then a topping-friendly fill that stays raised on fluffy fabric. Run it on a deep navy tee and the green sweater and white snowball body both pop against the dark background.

Pick this for a customer who wants something genuinely detailed. Stitch it on a dark navy cotton top, run it on a grey wool scarf, or pop it on the front panel of a fleece christmas blanket. One customer stitched the 4.51 inch run stitched on a set of matching grey wool scarves for the whole family last december and they came out brilliant.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Dark navy or black cotton tee shirtsThe 4.29 by 6.51 inch version fills a cushion front as a centrepiece at that scale
  • Grey wool scarves for matching family setsNavy cotton makes the green sweater and white snowball both read with high contrast
  • White cotton holiday cushion coversThe matching grey wool scarf set stitched cleanly at 4.51 inches with a firm cutaway backing
  • Front panel of a fleece christmas blanketDense 1,192 fill holds its structure through fleece pile without sinking or losing definition
  • Kids winter knit sweater chest placementThe smallest 2.51 inch size works for a kids sweater chest logo-sized placement
  • Canvas tote bags in navy or dark greyDark canvas bag lets all 9 colours read clearly without competing with the background

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
