For the softball players, the coaches, the parents who want something that says sports but still has a heart element to it, this is the file. Its a proper heavy-stitch design, 21,448 at the 3.51-inch width up to 52,621 stitches at 7.51 inches, with a density of 939, so its genuinely one of the denser files I carry. The claw marks are sharp and defined, the softball texture is rendered with actual curved satin lines, and the heart reads clean even at the small sizes.
You need a firm cutaway stabiliser here, full stop. Hooped tight on a cotton tee or a bag, it runs well, but floating on anything less than medium-weight fabric will cause drag at the claw intersections. The bobbin tension needs to be set right before you start, with nearly 52,000 stitches on the large size, any tension drift shows up partway through the stitch-out. Run a test on the same fabric weight youre using for the real project, and dont skip it.
I get messages from softball team moms a lot about this file. One customer ordered nine of them, one per team member, on matching red and black bags, all at the 5-inch size, and she said the whole batch ran clean. And it scales fine for small team runs. Avoid putting this on thin knit fabrics at the larger sizes; stick to canvas, denim, or sturdy cotton where the density can breathe without puckering. Light-coloured fabrics show off the red softball stitching best.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Softball team gear bag frontUse the 5-in chest for a gear bag front; hoop heavy canvas with firm cutaway and slow speed through the dense softball texture sections.
- Player jersey name personalization accentThe 3.51-inch size works as an accent beside a name on a jersey; use firm cutaway under polyester knit and a topping to keep the satin lines above the weave.
- Softball cap back panel decorationThe 3.51-inch size fits a cap back panel; use a firm tearaway with a cap hoop frame and stitch at reduced speed through the claw mark sections.
- Athletic tote bag side pocketUse a 4-inch piece on an athletic tote side pocket; hoop cotton canvas with heavy-duty cutaway and maintain even bobbin tension throughout.
- Team mom tumbler cozy wrapThe 3.51-inch size wraps a tumbler cozy neatly; hoop neoprene or thick cotton with firm cutaway and stitch slowly through the high-density areas.
- Sport duffle bag front graphicThe 7.51-inch size makes a strong statement on a sport duffle front; back with two layers of cutaway stabiliser on heavy nylon or canvas fabric.
- Denim jacket back panel centerpieceThe 6-inch size works well centred on a jacket back yoke panel; hoop with firm cutaway and take it slow through the 50,000-stitch range on heavy denim.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
