Worked up this design for the valentines crowd who also happen to be Marvel fans, which turns out is alot of people. Its the Spider-Man mask but the whole thing is shaped into a love heart. The big white eye lenses sit at the top two curves of the heart, the red fill carries all the mask detail, and the chin comes down to a point at the bottom. You read it as a heart first and then your brain processes the spidey mask.
3 colours: white, red, black. 2 colour changes, so its not a complicated thread swap. Stitch density is high at 1,074 stitches per inch in the dense mask areas, so even at the 2 inch smallest size theres solid definition in every satin segment. 4 sizes from 2 inches up to 5 inches wide. Stitch counts go from 6,976 at 2 inch to 26,253 at the 5 inch version.
That web mesh runs as satin fill sections mapped directionally across the curved heart shape, which is the tricky bit of digitising this kind of mashup. The stitching follows the contours rather than going at a uniform angle so it doesnt pull or pucker. Use firm cutaway any woven or stretch fabric, the density demands it.
