Put together this spiral web version with filled panels between the spiral lines rather than leaving it all open. So its got that spiral thread structure like the line art version but here the spaces between the threads are filled in with tatami stitching, which gives it a heavier, more solid look. Alot more presence on the fabric compared to the outline-only webs.

5 sizes from 3.5 7.5 ceiling and the stitch counts run 2,096 to 4,146. And that count is actually lower than you might expect for a filled web because the fill density is kept at 74, which keeps the stitch-out manageable and reduces the chance of puckering. Place cutaway under knit fabrics. Heres a tip for the larger sizes: use a topping sheet on anything with a nap or loop texture to stop the fill stitches sinking in.

I get customers using this one for halloween home decor aswell as apparel. Its compact enough that you can repeat it in a tile pattern on a table runner or place mat without it looking too heavy. My niece actually hooped two of the medium versions side by side on a black linen table runner and it looked genuinely decent for a halloween dinner table.

Pick a thread colour with good contrast to your base fabric. Orange on black, white on navy, black on cream, all work well. Skip pale or washed out thread on dark fabric because the filled sections need clear visibility to read properly. Add a spider accent in the centre if you want to personalise it further.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween apparel left chest hitA left chest hit on a plain black tee at 3.5 inches is a clean and quick seasonal apparel option.
  • Seasonal home decor table runnersRepeating two or three medium sizes across a linen table runner makes an easy halloween table decoration.
  • Spooky tote bag front panelOn a canvas tote the 5 inch version in orange on black thread is a statement piece that works without any extra elements.
  • Kids halloween costume patchesIron-on patches in the smaller sizes work as a fast costume addition for kids halloween outfits.
  • Craft fair batch shirtsLow stitch count makes this good for batch runs where speed and consistency both matter.
  • Pillow accent with spider centrepieceStitch it centred on a plain pillow with a small spider design in the middle for a layered seasonal look.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
