Stitched out this spiral web as the kinda mid-point between the truly minimal 4-thread web and the fully filled version. Its a line art web with radiating threads and a smooth continuous spiral ring, but the line weight is a bit heavier than the pure outline style, so it reads more confidently on mid-size placements like a bag pocket or a chest hit.

5 sizes from 2.99 inches wide up to 6.41 inches, with stitch counts from 2,108 stitches on the smallest up to 3,979 stitches on the largest. Density at 83 stitches per square inch, which is low, so its a fast stitch-out with no stabiliser stress. Digitising done in professional tools and the spiral path is smooth even at the smallest size, no jagged corners on the curves. Use a tearaway on cotton or denim, cutaway on any knit jersey, and consider a topping on textured surfaces like fleece or canvas with nap.

A customer earlier this year was gonna use this one customising halloween tshirts for a primary school fundraiser. She asked about running it in purple on white cotton and honestly it looked great, the spiral web reads really clearly in non-traditional colours. Go for orange, purple, silver or white depending on your base fabric colour.

Avoid placing it on a seam or a pocket edge because the spiral threads need a flat surface to lie properly. Hoop it centred and check your underlay is on. Try pairing it with a small spider or a text line below for a simple grouped halloween design that works on apparel or bags.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Halloween school fundraiser shirtsAt low density and 5 sizes this is a practical choice for school fundraiser shirt batches where consistency matters.
  • Seasonal bag pocket embellishmentThe 3 inch size on a bag pocket or pouch front is a neat subtle halloween accent that doesnt overwhelm.
  • Spooky apron front designOn a plain cotton apron the 5 inch version in black or orange thread makes a seasonal kitchen decoration piece.
  • Grouped halloween design with textPair with a stitch-out text line like 'spooky season' below the web for a grouped design that stands alone.
  • Autumn craft project fabric panelsCut from fabric panels on autumn craft projects this makes a good teachable hoop design for beginner students.
  • Kids halloween costume customisingIron-on or patch versions in the smaller sizes give quick costume customising options without a full hoop setup.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
