Played around with the proportions on this one until the dolphin looked properly chubby and round, the original sketch was too sleek, it needed to look like a performing sea park dolphin, all puffed up and proud. The ball on the nose is orange with blue stripes, which pulls away nicely from the sky-blue body. Theres a little water splash element at the base that grounds it so it doesnt look like its just floating. Pink accent at the snout/mouth area. Seven colours total, 6 colour changes in the hoop, small enough to manage without getting lost.
I had a customer last summer who was stocking beach-themed baby items for a market and ordered several dolphin designs. She came back and said this one was the fastest seller because it reads instantly as fun, even on small sizes. The 2 inch version stitches at 4,904 stitches which is a very quick run, good for batch work. At 6 inches its 22,370 stitches and the proportions really open up. Use it on white or light blue cotton for best colour read, or on pale yellow which works surprisingly well with the orange ball.
Five sizes, 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, 5 inch, 6 inch, all in the zip. Try the 3-inch run on a kids shirt pocket first if youre unsure which size works, its a forgiving size for cotton with medium tearaway. Skip stretch fabric, the fill stitches distort on anything that pulls.
Text me through the contact form if something isnt right with the files and ill sort it same day.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
