I made this one for people who wanted something a bit more attitude-forward for halloween rather than the standard pumpkin or ghost. 'Spooky Babe' is just two words but the way the lettering and the lil bat accents sit together, it reads like a proper graphic tee slogan rather than a novelty design. Four colours, black, orange, and two supporting tones, at a light density of 77, which is deliberately open so it doesnt look heavy on thinner shirt fabrics.

4,959 stitches, its a quick stitch-out, probably around ten to twelve minutes on most machines. The low density is what makes this one work on jersey tees especially, heavy fill tends to stiffen the fabric and you can feel the block of stitching through a thin shirt. With density at 77, its softer and the fabric drapes naturally around the design area. Hoop with a medium cutaway for stretch fabrics, tearaway if youre working on a woven cotton or a non-stretch bag. Digitised in my workhorse software, so the lettering paths are clean and the satin fill on the bat bodies has proper underlay to stop them getting mushy on medium-weight cotton. Add iron-on topping film on denim before stitching to keep the letters crisp against the texture. Pair this with dark thread colour on dark fabric for a tonal effect, or go full contrast with orange lettering on black.

I know customers who stitch it onto everyday black tees for the whole of october and wear it casually, not just for parties. Stitch a small batch for a costume group or a halloween market stall. Not just for women either, its been ordered for kids and teens just as often.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Adult halloween graphic tee left chestBlack tee left chest badge for everyday october wear, the low density 77 keeps it genuinely soft against thin shirt fabric.
  • Black sweatshirt centre chest placementHalloween group costume sweatshirt, fast batch production at under 5,000 stitches makes this the sensible group choice.
  • Trick-or-treat adult tote bagCanvas makeup bag front panel, the design fits a 3 by 4 inch placement zone and looks deliberately editorial.
  • Halloween costume coordinated topAdult halloween tote where the attitude-forward slogan works better than a standard pumpkin or ghost.
  • October everyday casual teeMuslin drawstring favour bags stitched in an afternoon, the whole batch for a halloween market stall is very doable.
  • Canvas make-up bag front designBlack sweatshirt centre chest for a group of friends doing coordinated halloween outfits.
  • Halloween party favour muslin pouchDenim jacket front chest pocket, the portrait badge proportion suits the small chest pocket panel exactly.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
