I really like single-color silhouette designs for Halloween because they're so flexible and this bat one is a good example of why. Its a group of flying bat silhouettes at different sizes and angles with a few small five-pointed stars scattered between them, all in one solid color. The bats have elegantly detailed wing shapes, not the chunky simple bat you see everywhere, these have those slightly stretched wings with the finger-bone detail visible in the shape of the edge. Against any background the silhouette reads instantly and the stars give it just enough depth to stop it looking like a simple blob. One thread. No color changes.

Check the PDF download for exact sizes and stitch counts. Single-color silhouette fills tend to stitch fast and the one thread means setup is quick. Even so, get your tearaway down on wovens and a lightweight cutaway on fleece or knit. Hoop tight especially if you're going on a larger size, the wing edges need to stay crisp and any fabric movement will soften those detail lines. Short bobbin before you start is worth checking given the fill areas.

This one works on dark fabrics better than almost any design I sell. Black thread on an orange fabric is very classic, but honestly the one I see shared most is black bats on a terracotta or mustard sweatshirt. The silhouette reads beautifully from a distance. A customer ran it scattered across the back of a white jean jacket in black thread and it looked like a very expensive bespoke piece. You can also repeat it in a scattered pattern across a pillowcase or a wall banner for Halloween room decor.

Text me through the shop if you'd like the bat cluster at a very specific custom size and Ill sort it out fast.

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
