Drew up this gnome trio last halloween season and its been one of my favourites in the whole catalog. Three little gnomes lined up shoulder to shoulder in front of a big spider web, each one with a different beard colour and different halloween accessories. The one on the left has an orange beard and a black cat next to him, the centre gnome has grey, and the right one is holding a red pitchfork with a dark beard and glowing eyes. Tiny bats sit along the top edge of the web.
Nine colours in total which is alot for an embroidery design but its spread well across the pieces, red, yellow, grey, brown, sand, orange, white and black. The gnome beards use proper directional stitching so the texture actually reads as fur rather than a flat satin fill. Web strands are fine underlay-supported lines rather than just jump stitches so they hold together even on thicker fabrics.
I get messages every october from customers using this for kids halloween sweatshirts and it realy does pop on a black or charcoal cotton fleece. A customer last year ordered it for a set of matching family hoodies which turned out brilliant. The 3.1 inch version fits neatly on a chest pocket or sleeve, the largest at 6.6 inches fills a back panel or a big tote front.
Five sizes total, 23,288 stitches at the smallest and 54,481 at the largest. Thats a heavy stitch count. Use a good cutaway stabiliser on anything stretchy or knit. For woven cotton or denim a firm tearaway works fine but I'd double it on the bigger sizes just so the density doesnt pull. Skip sheer or loosely woven fabrics entirely. Pop it on a sweatshirt or hoodie and it delivers every single time.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids halloween sweatshirtsThe 3.1 inch size fits neatly on a left chest and reads clearly even on a dark charcoal cotton sweatshirt.
- Family matching hoodiesMatching family hoodies with the same design centred front work as a fun group costume alternative for kids and adults.
- Halloween tote bagsOn a black canvas tote the full 6.6 inch version fills the front beautifully and holds up to regular use.
- Seasonal table runnersA medium size stitched along the centre of a cream or rust linen table runner anchors a halloween table setting.
- Canvas pillow coversCentred on a canvas throw pillow it becomes seasonal decor you can swap out each october without redecorating.
- Fall festival apronsStitched on the bib of a denim apron it makes a fun statement piece for halloween baking and craft parties.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
