This is the blocky SPOOKY word art and its meant to be read from across the room. The letters are tall and heavy, the kind that fill up a hoop without leaving much breathing room around em. Theres a lil bat perched at the very top, wings spread out either side. The O in SPOOKY has a full spider web stitched right inside it. And at the bottom of the Y theres a tiny spider hanging on a thread, dangling down below the baseline.
One colour. Black. Thats it. Which sounds simple but honestly the digitising on the fill work is what makes it land. my standard software pulled satin columns through those chunky letter bodies so the texture is dense and raised when it stitches out, not flat and papery like a lot of single-colour word art. Six sizes in the bundle from 2.01 inches tall right up to 7.01 inches, stitch counts go from 2,326 up to nine thousand and thirteen on the biggest. So ya can stick this on anything from a pocket to a full-front tee.
I sell alot of these to halloween bartenders who want something on a black uniform apron that reads fast under dim bar lighting. Drop it on a black canvas apron in white thread and it absolutely pops. Also goes on cream and oatmeal coloured fabric in black thread where the graphic contrast does the heavy lifting. Avoid mid-grey fabric, the black just disappears at distance.
Place tearaway under stable woven cotton or canvas. Switch to cutaway if youre hooping jersey or fleece because the letter fills pull on stretch. Hoop tight on the bigger sizes, loose hooping on blocky satin fill causes puckering around the corners of the letters. Drop me a line if something looks off when you stitch it out and Ill check the file.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
