Honestly the combination of fluffy highland cow plus witch hat is just one of those ideas that shouldnt work but absolutely does. The cow is done in that shaggy rust and cream fur style that highland cows are known for, big round dark eyes, that wide low flat nose, long fringe falling over its forehead. And then sitting right on top of all that fluff is a proper tall pointed witch hat in black with a little brim. Its ridiculous and genuinely charming.
11 colours means theres a real thread sequence to work through here. The fur sections use layered rust, tan, cream and brown threads to build up that shaggy textured look, and professional digitising software mapped the underlay so each fur direction layer goes down before the satin columns on top. Density runs at 1,122 which is the highest Ive set in this collection, because that fluffy cow fur effect actually needs the stitch density to read as texture rather than flat fill. 24,610 stitches at the 3.25 inch size and 58,648 at the full 6.96 inch version. Pop a thick cutaway behind it, the density at the large size needs solid backing.
I get alot of orders for this one from country and farm themed halloween crafters, and from people doing highland cow gift sets for farmers and rural families. A customer grabbed the 5-inch size last halloween for a cow-crazy niece, stitched onto a rust coloured sweatshirt so the cow fur colours blended into the ground, she said her niece wore it all of october. Use a neutral oatmeal or cream cotton for the cleanest colour read. Pop a medium cutaway under lighter fabrics.
Choose your thread colours carefully on the fur layers, the rust to cream gradient is what sells the fluffy texture. Skip dark navy or black grounds for this one, the warm brown fur palette needs a light or neutral fabric to land right.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
