This pumpkin is tall and narrow, more like a stretched gourd shape than the usual round halloween design. The face cutouts sit low on the body, triangular eye cutouts and a wide jagged mouth, all punched right into the orange in black. The ridges on the sides are stitched with lighter amber-gold directional lines to give it that 3D segment look. Small black stem at the top, nothing fancy. Message me if you want a rounder pumpkin version, I have that one separately.

I ran this through industry-grade software with a density of 918, its one of the denser designs in my halloween range. Four colour changes: orange for the body, tan-gold for the ridge highlights, black for the face cutout details, and a lighter underlay colour that helps the orange pop. The 4.51 x 2.95 inch version runs about 12,210 stitches. Use a cutaway stabiliser, this isnt a tearaway job with that stitch count on the fill.

A customer sent me photos last fall of this hooped onto a burnt orange knit sweatshirt and it looked incredible, the orange on orange effect with the black jagged mouth just realy worked. Stitch it on cream, black, or navy cotton if you want the pumpkin orange to stand out clearly. Works great on 100% cotton canvas or twill for bags. Ive also seen it look sharp on sand-coloured linen totes.

Skip sheer or stretchy fabrics, the high density needs a stable base. Use a good polyester thread for the orange to keep the colour saturation rich. Dont rush the fill sections on the body, slow your machine speed slightly for clean satin results.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
